Select a landmark from the index in the top right corner and the map will position itself with the landmark central. Pass your cursor over that area and a caption will pop up. Alternatively simply pass your cursor over the map and captions will pop up as the cursor pass over them.

Click to zoom-in and double-click to zoom-out. Click-drag to pan. Alt-click to zoom-in 100% and alt-double-click to zoom-out completely. And to return to a prior view simply Alt-click the Reset button on the Toolbar.
